The Emergency of Flowering
7th November, 2009
I took the jyoti, and incense and water. The dawn was still and serene. The ground is no longer cold. I squatted down and my face was in a purple columbine. Flowers and leaves flounce everywhere, there is no soil, only vegetation. The tree has finished with flowering, however. They have all fallen and the leaves are established.
The tree felt completely stable, relaxed, internalised, and settled. It felt at peace. It is balanced, grounded – the leaves have stabilised its whole system. They draw up the nutrients and water from the roots, transform light into carbohydrate, breathe in CO2 and breathe out O2.
No longer living on stored food, the tree has passed the time of hardship and the emergency of flowering. There is water in the soil and sun from the sky. The earth and air are warm; it can finally retreat and be at ease, all is taken care of. The cycle is at a most comfortable time. There is nothing major to be done except to breathe. Conditions are kind.
Peace.
