I felt the tree as Mother Nature

The Face Tree, the enduring strength of nature gazing out in old growth forest, Western Australia.

August 7th, 2009

Finally, I am coming back on track. The wild winds are not here this morning. I woke early and went to the tree. I took jyoti, incense, water, thought and feeling.

As I squatted there, (the ground was cold, I feel it still), with head bowed and hands joined in reverence, I felt the tree as Mother Nature whose arms were raised protectively over me, sheltering me, encircling me, embracing me. The tree’s branches arching over me were the arms of Mother Nature.

A rooster in the distance, birds awakening – the dawn always reminds me of India, for in India I am always outside at dawn.
