Everything is about energy

I took this in the Douglas Apsley National Park a few years ago. There’s something about flat rocks that urges interaction. A flat rock is part of my tree puja now, bringing an earthed and stable quality amidst the shifting seasons.

I rose early with the birdsong. I chanted the Vedic Shanti mantras.

            I’m astonished at the effect of the structures – the shelter for the jyoti, the flat rock for the flower, the water into the earth, which prepares it for receiving the incense stick.

The whole experience is different, is very solid, and me standing on the path, not the soil. I feel that the tree likes it. I feel that the tree is drawing on the stability somehow, or connecting with it, that the energy of the ritual has somehow been captured, stabilised, and strengthened.

            Everything is about energy.
