The tree has courage
May 28th, 2009
The tree has constancy of courage. Its steadiness is a form of courage. That’s what it gave me this morning. The tree has all qualities that are good. It reflects the Divine, being like an antenna that reaches from Earth to Heaven, a channel bringing all energy and strength for life into the earth and into the air. The tree does all that so quietly, no fuss.
I go to the tree with bare feet.
Come to me with your feet bare,
And I will wash the dust of journeys past and now.
Walk to me with your feet bare,
I will treasure the dust
That nestles sleepily
Between your toes.
Walk to me with your feet bare,
And from each speck of mud
That walks with you,
I will grow flowers.
This morning, I needed the tree’s courage, lacking it in myself.
