Thank you for the water

Disappearing Tarn, an ephemeral tarn on kunanyi/Mt Wellington is a 9km bushwalk. For locals it’s a pilgrimage we make when the sun shines after heavy rainfall. A few days later, it’s gone.

All that the tree could say was, “thank you for the water thank you for the water.” I had only given one cupful, and a flower. I have no incense and it’s too dry for flames. So, I put the sprinkler on.
